Glossary

1 / 2 / 3

Information given to teammates that there are only 1 / 2 / 3 enemies alive. Can say "1d"/"2d"/"3d" to mean 1 / 2 / 3 dead instead.

Air

When a sniper shoots but misses. See Oddities (Skips, Stalls, Drifts).

Blind

A position where you can temporarily see your enemy but they can’t see you. See Blinding.

C (clear)

Information given to teammates that all enemies are dead.

Camp

Ruining the game for others by staying in the enemy base and killing respawners unnecessarily. See Etiquette.

DLock (distance lock)

A way of locking that maximises your chances of shooting first. See DLock and Pulses.

DS (deselect)

When your clicks go wrong and you accidentally select someone else’s sniper. Often happens if you’re clicking quickly and you try to lock before your A press has registered.

DV (death vision)

Small area of vision around where your sniper died. See Vision

F (flag)

Command given to teammate through text to grab the enemy flag.

GHS (ground hackshot)

An odd occurrence where your sniper does the twitchy movement of a hackshot as it shoots, even though it has full vision of the enemy.

Glitch

A position where you can permanently see your enemy but they can’t see you. See Glitches.

Hack

Ruining the game for others by using an external program to gain an unfair advantage over others in game. Hackers will be banned from the community, permanently. See Etiquette.

HS (hackshot)

Shooting an enemy without any vision. See HS & SHS.

Killer Vision

Vision gained of a sniper that shoots you from a blind. Not visible to teammates. See Vision.

KS (kill steal)

Securing a kill that a jealous teammate thought should have been theirs.

Leech

Shooting an enemy after they kill a teammate, but before they finish their reload. See Teamwork.

Lock

Targeting a sniper. Press A (for Attack) then click on an enemy sniper to lock them. See Killing Enemies.

NL (nooblock)

Locking an enemy and keeping the lock for an extended period of time. See Killing Enemies.

Pullshot

Pulling away immediately after shooting. See Quick Recovery.

Pulse Theory

Explanation for how one sniper shoots before the other. See Pulses.

QL (quicklock)

A quick lock. See Quicklocking.

Range

The distance at which your sniper is able to shoot another sniper.

Range check / pulse

The game checking whether your locked target is in range. If it is, your sniper will shoot. See Pulses

RL (reload)

The cooldown time your sniper needs between shots. See Quick Recovery.

RS (respawn)

Can refer to the act of respawning after death or to killing snipers as they respawn. See Respawning and Advanced Respawning.

SHS (shift hackshot)

Shooting an enemy without any vision while using shift to queue up actions. See HS & SHS.

Sit

Ruining the game for others by playing too slowly. See Etiquette.

When a sniper stops and stares at a fleeing sniper instead of shooting. See Oddities (Skips, Stalls, Drifts).

SLock (Stop lock)

A way of locking that gives you fine-grained control over the distance between you and your enemy, so you can maximise your chances of shooting first. See SLock.

SNL (shift nooblock)

Locking an enemy and keeping the lock for an extended period of time, but using shift to queue up actions. See SNLs.

Stall

When a sniper stops and stares at a fleeing sniper instead of shooting. See Oddities (Skips, Stalls, Drifts).

TV (trail vision)

Vision that lingers in the trail of your sniper’s movements. See Vision.

TW (teamwork)

Using teamwork to kill an enemy, usually through luring. See Teamwork.

Vision Cycle

The global cycle on which vision resets (every 4.2 seconds). See Advanced Vision.
